Dear Sir/Madam
With new information in the public domain about Thames Water’s failures and debts, I have become deeply concerned that the information about charges I receive as a customer may be misleading and not properly representative of what my bill payment money is actually being used for.

The breakdown provided through this infographic on my bills indicates that debt servicing uses only 3% of income from bill payers. However a Guardian analysis of 28.2.2024 found that the figure is more like 28%
Please account for your figure of 3% in the pound currently spent on ‘our lenders’.
Please also provide a figure clarifying how that % will change in view of
a) the cost of the extra £3bn. debt Thames Water is now taking on at an interest rate of 9.75%
b) the professional fees associated with the high risk restructuring plan such as disbursements to financial advisors estimated to be around £210 million.
I look forward to your response so that I can be confident that what I am paying to access the basic necessity of water is actually being spent on provision of the same.
Please put my account on hold until an acceptably accurate breakdown of how bill payers money is used is provided.
