We Own It action grabs media attention

Supporters of Boycott Thames Water were delighted help draw attention to the latest Thames Water scandal in a protest outside the Environment Agency on Monday 9 December.

Thames Water villains were depicted extracting a cheque for £250 from long-suffering water customers while Environment Secretary Steve Reed stood in the middle and did nothing.

Our placards added to the scene alongside a range of other protesters. They included members of the Henley Mermaids group, representing just some of the victims of Thames Water’s trashing of the environment.

The action was the first item on the BBC London News that evening, and was well covered elsewhere. It will be important to build on the momentum and mounting anger at the Thames Water rip-off. Please check our posts for further actions and details of what you can do.
